Programming and Clean Up!

Today we are working on programing for the forklift cause we FINALLY! finished our forklift. So we programed so we can complete all the missions on the house. We got to start from the base and then get in the prefect position to get the points and hit the target. We also cleaned our floor cause there was a lot of pieces on the floor and it was really dusty! We also worked on a proposal so we could get money if we qualify for the Nation Championship.

Forklift!!!

For many day`s we have been working on our forklift so we can complete our house mission to earn our 110 points for the game. After we complete this task we are going to "pop champagne" which is really sparkling lemonade. We are working really hard not for popping champagne for getting points. We also worked on and wrote down our deep dive and printed it out and posted it on the robotics bulletin board.

Forklift! combined with Deep Dive

Today we did more work on the forklift and we wrote down our deep dive and what it is on a google doc. The research team also did some research on IDEO. We looked for some of their methods that can help us. We worked on the forklift, because then we can complete the house mission which is about 75 to 80 points, just the house.

Climate Exhibit- Museum of Natural History

Today we went on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History to the Climate Change Exhibit. We used public transportation to get there. We met a doctor named Dr. Mathis. He gave us a personal tour of the exhibit. We learned about what is bad for the climate and what affects it. After we did the exhibit we asked him questions about climate change for our research project.

Getting Prepared for Dr. Mathis and work on the robot!

Today we prepared for our visit to Dr. Mathis at the climate exhibit in the Museum of Natural History. This guy is a really smart guy. He wrote two books, one is about climate change and the other is about earth science. So we prepared questions that can help us on our research project and make us look SMART.

Forklift !!!

Today we all worked on the forklift to help us complete one of the missions which is the House which is worth a lot of points. We also had some visitors that want to do a documentary on us because they were interested to do

Allan

Hi!, My name is Allan. In Robotics I work on research for the research project needed in the competition. I do research on the topic that's based on this or next years topic. If you win the research category you can advance to the next round.

Patrick

Hi, My name is Patrick I am also on the robotics research team. I mainly work on the research projects with the rest of the research team. The research projects are important for presentation at the competitions.

Clean Up !

Today we just cleaned up our Lego kits and organized
our pieces. We organized our kits, so when we are fixing or
building a robot we can get the pieces right away. Which
gives us more and saves time.

Deep Dive!

Today we watched a video from youtube about IDEO. IDEO is a engineering and design company. They did something called a DEEP DIVE where you brainstorm. After you brainstorm everybody brings their ideas together. So that was what we did. We brainstormed on one of the missions that was complex for us so we thought of ideas.

Hi! I`m Zahir, on the robotics team I do software. I program the robots so they can do the missions in order for us to get 400 point robot. I am also kinda part of the other groups. I was also part of robotics last year. I also have a great grade in the school 4.0.

Hi my name is Salman. I do a lot of work on the robotics team. I work in the research and software team. I made the blog and the website for the robotics team. I am also the only kid in my school of my grade that knows how to make and create a site and a blog which is easy to me.
