Though the Boogie Down Bots didn't make it Atlanta we gave it our all. We received second place for Robot Performance and are proud. We congratulate the NXT Angels for making so far from the Bronx. We hope to make it next year if possible and enjoyed the ride so far.

Today we discovered its not just that the robot has to score the most points,to advance to the National tournament and only one team from the State competition can advance to the National Competition. Today we got our focus on by 200%. We had to get serious because our coach got an e-mail from the head of First Lego League that only one team from each state competition can go on to the Nation competition. So our coach (Mr.Justin) told us that we have to make sure that the robot can score more than or at least 100 points. If it dosen `t we`re going to start from scratch. We also had to sort our pieces and built our travel kit. We have to sort our pieces because we need to be prepared for EVERYTHING!

Today we are working on programing for the forklift cause we FINALLY! finished our forklift. So we programed so we can complete all the missions on the house. We got to start from the base and then get in the prefect position to get the points and hit the target. We also cleaned our floor cause there was a lot of pieces on the floor and it was really dusty! We also worked on a proposal so we could get money if we qualify for the Nation Championship.

After we complete this task we are going to "pop champagne" which is really sparkling lemonade. We are working really hard not for popping champagne for getting points. Today we did more work on the forklift and we wrote down our deep dive and what it is on a google doc. The research team also did some research on IDEO. Climate Exhibit- Museum of Natural History

Today we went on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History to the Climate Change Exhibit. We used public transportation to get there. We met a doctor named Dr. Mathis. He gave us a personal tour of the exhibit. We learned about what is bad for the climate and what affects it. After we did the exhibit we asked him questions about climate change for our research project.

Today we prepared for our visit to Dr. Mathis at the climate exhibit in the Museum of Natural History. This guy is a really smart guy. Today we watched a video from youtube about IDEO. IDEO is a engineering and design company. They did something called a DEEP DIVE where you brainstorm.
